For information and registrations write to <a href=\"mailto:fabbricaeuropa.workshop@gmail.com\">fabbricaeuropa.workshop@gmail.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The workshop <em>Attakkalari Movement Technique<\/em> starts with a warm up based on Yoga stretches, followed by Attakkalari\u2019s unique body alignment, breath and focus exercises. There will then be an initiation into the idea of alignment, breath, focus, sense of gravity, and multiple spaces that operate in our movement vocabulary. The notion of wiring the body in different ways through the concept of energy distribution to various part of the body will also be touched upon.<br \/>\nThis will be followed by short sequences introducing the concepts of body and principles of movement embedded in Indian performance traditions, martial art forms and body care systems.<br \/>\nThe participants will then learn sequences from Attakkalari\u2019s own movement language employing these principles.\u00a0Along with Macro and traveling movements there will also be an emphasis on micro and delicate movements typical of Indian performance traditions. This will be followed by a warm down.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Parth Bhardwaj<\/strong> graduated from Attakkalari\u2019s Diploma in Movement Arts and Mixed Media in 2009. Alongside his independent work, Parth works with Attakkalari\u2019s Repertory Company. He was part of a Swiss collaborative production \u2013\u00a0ISSHH(\u0915), choreographed by Nicole Seiler and has worked with Indonesian choreographer, Yola Yulifiandi on his piece \u2013 Salma. Parth has a keen interest in the development of arts education and has closely worked with Attakkalari&#8217;s Mobile Academy to set up educational projects. Recently, he was selected for the Special Jury Mention Award at the Prakriti Excellence in Contemporary Dance Award (PECDA) 2016 for his piece \u2013 Urban Chaos.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hema Bharathi Palani<\/strong> is an award-winning choreographer and dancer. Based in Bangalore, India, she is one of the most promising young talents in contemporary dance today.<br \/>\nHema is known for her fluidity, musicality and evocative performances. Her classical training in Kuchipudi and Bharatanatyam serve as a base that roots her, whilst she delves into the expressive capabilities of contemporary dance.
