The Arab and Mediterranean Women\u2019s Orchestra"},"content":{"rendered":"

Thirteen women, eight different geographical origins, a unique sound. This is\u00a0ALMAR\u2019\u00c0<\/strong>, the orchestra of Arab and Mediterranean women.<\/p>\n

A word that means \u201cwoman with dignity\u201d for a project that arises from the need to raise awareness of a present that overcomes the stereotypes associated with the Arab world.<\/p>\n

Musicians of all ages, professional and non, traditional and modern singers; sounds that start from Arabic music, cross the classical one and enter the territories of jazz; eastern and western tools together. Everything in ALMAR\u2019\u00c0 is a hymn to the beauty of diversity.<\/p>\n

The Orchestra is composed of\u00a0Dania Alkabir Alhasani<\/strong>\u00a0(Syria) on violin,\u00a0Dima Dawood<\/strong>\u00a0(Syria) on kanoun,\u00a0Derya Davulcu<\/strong>\u00a0(Turkey) on double bass,\u00a0Sana Ben Hamza<\/strong>\u00a0(Tunisia) on darbouka,\u00a0Eszter Nagypal<\/strong>\u00a0(Hungary) on cello,\u00a0Valentina Bellanova<\/strong>\u00a0(Italy) on nay flute,\u00a0Sade Mangiaracina<\/strong>\u00a0(Italy\/Tunisia) on piano,\u00a0Vera Petra<\/strong>\u00a0(Italy) on percussion,\u00a0Silvia La Rocca<\/strong>\u00a0(Eritrea) on transverse flute;\u00a0Kavinya Monthe Ndumbu<\/strong>\u00a0(Kenya),\u00a0Yasemin Sannino<\/strong>\u00a0(Turkey),\u00a0Hana Hachana<\/strong>\u00a0(Tunisia) and\u00a0Nadia Emam<\/strong>\u00a0(Italy \/ Egypt), vocals.<\/p>\n

ALMAR\u2019\u00c0<\/strong>\u00a0was formed in 2017 between Florence and Rome thanks to the collaboration between the Fondazione Fabbrica Europa and the Tunisian socio-cultural center \u201cDar Tounsi\u201d, and with the artistic coordination of Ziad Trabelsi from the dell\u2019Orchestra di Piazza Vittorio. The project had the support of the Italian Ministry for Culture through the MigrArti call and the support of Fondazione Pianoterra and Fondazione Cultura e Arte.<\/p>\n

In 2019 Rim Almar’\u00e0<\/strong> was released, the first single of the Orchestra (arrangement signed by Ziad Trabelsi, Mario Tronco, Pino Pecorelli, Leandro Piccioni), accompanied by by a videoclip by Francesco Cabras.
\nAfter winning the Druk International Film Festival (DIFF) and being nominee for the Golden Dragon Award, the “Rim Almar’\u00e0” videoclip was nominated for the category \u2018Best Female Vocalist\u2019 for the LA Music Video Awards.<\/p>\n
