Fabbrica Europa<\/strong> collaborates this year in the program of the new edition, entirely dedicated to sound, of the Collinarea Festival<\/strong>, which takes place from 14 to 31 July in Santa Luce (Pisa) and Lari (Pisa), with solo concerts by Pasquale Mirra, Vincenzo Vasi, Giovanni Sollima and Michel Godard.<\/p>\n

\nPASQUALE MIRRA<\/strong>
\n MODERATAMENTE SOLO<\/strong>
\nConcerto for vibraphone, one hundred (and one) years after its invention<\/p>\n

Pasquale Mirra is one of the most interesting vibraphonists on the Italian and international scene. He collaborates and has worked with great improvisers such as Michel Portal, Fred Frith, Nicole Mitchell, Tristan Honsinger, Ernst Rijseger, Rob Mazurek, Ballak\u00e9 Sissoko, Buch Morris, Lansin\u00e9 Kouyat\u00e9, Jeff Parker, Michael Blakei. In 2013 he was nominated best Italian vibraphonist by the magazine “Jazz it\u201d. Since 2008 he has been collaborating with the well-known American percussionist Hamid Drake with whom he plays and has played in various projects, participating in numerous festivals in America and Europe. He collaborated with the Mop Mop group and took part in the music of the American director Woody Allen’s film \u201cTo Rome with Love\u201d.<\/p>\n

\nVINCENZO VASI<\/strong>
\n IMMERSIVE CONCERT FOR THEREMIN<\/strong><\/p>\n

Multi-instrumentalist and composer, Vincenzo Vasi is one of the most eclectic artists in the musical field for his ability to range from electronic experimentation to pop. He plays several instruments: bass, theremin, vibraphone, percussion, guitar, ukulele, keyboards, kazoo, nose flute, each of which becomes an extension of his musicality and its rhythmic art. Vincenzo Vasi – writes Giorgio Casadei – “includes among his qualities the courage towards the unknown, the taste for desecration and respect for tradition, the ability to bring the sound of lightness and the sound of fear, the song of simplicity and the primordial scream “. He has recorded over 150 albums and has been active since the early 90s in the field of research music with various projects. Combining theatre, sound installations, soundtracks, literature and poetry, he has participated in numerous national and international festivals. Currently he is working on personal projects and collaborates with Vinicio Capossela, Mike Patton, Roy Pacy and Mauro Ottolini.<\/p>\n

\nConcert<\/p>\n

The cellist and composer Giovanni Sollima began his international career collaborating with Abbado, Sinopoli, Demus, Argerich. As a composer, he has been captivated by every kind of languages and has sought to create new blends among the most diverse genres by combining elements of classical and rock music, as well as of ethnic. He composes for acoustic and electric instruments, and others invented by himself or created for him, as the tenor violin represented in the Caravaggio\u2019s paintings, or an ice-cello that he played at 3,500 m altitude, in an igloo-theatre.
\nHis works have been performed by interpreters such as Bashmet, Berliner Philharmoniker, Canino, Capossela, Coryell, DJ Scanner, Fischer, Gatti, Kremer, Labeque, La Scala Philarmonic Orchestra, Lucerne Festival Orchestra, Maisky, Mullova, Muti, Raimondi, Patti Smith and Yo-Yo Ma.
\nBesides he composed music for directors and choreographers, such as Wenders, Greenaway, Wilson, Stein, Carlson, Armitage. With the videographer Lasse Gjertsen he realized Daydream. Sollima performed his music in prestigious places, but also in alternative venues: Carnegie Hall, BAM, Knitting Factory in New York, Wigmore and Queen Elizabeth Halls in London, Salle Gaveau in Paris, Passionskirche in Berlin, Musicgebouw in Amsterdam, Tchaikovsky Hall in Moscow, La Scala in Milan, Santa Cecilia in Rome, the Festivals of Kronberg, Kuopio, Istanbul, Tunis (in the Sahara), Tokyo, Venice, Ravenna, Spoleto.
\nAmong the projects he is working on, the solo cello recital \u201cBa-Rock Cello\u201d, the duo with Monika Leskovar \u201cThe Interpretation of dreams\u201d and a new duo project with pianist Giuseppe Andaloro (first prize Busoni 2005).<\/p>\n

\nMICHEL GODARD<\/strong>
\n CONCERT FOR SERPENT<\/strong><\/p>\n

Michel Godard is one of the very few tuba soloists and probably the only Serpent soloist, which he plays for the first time in 1979. This instrument, which was born as the bass of the cornetto family, had never had a solo repertoire. Godard, developing his enormous technical talent on this forgotten instrument, performs a repertoire that ranges from 16th century music to jazz and improvisation.
\nAs a classical music soloist he played and recorded with the l\u2019Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, with the Orchestre National de France, with the Musique Vivante ensemble, with the Ensemble La Fenice in Paris, with XVIII-21 Musique des lumi\u00e8res, with the Ensemble Jacques Moderne.
\nIn the jazz field he has played with Rabih Abou-Khalil, Christof Lauer, Luciano Biondini, Linda Bsiri, Michel Portal, Louis Sclavis, Henry Texier, Enrico Rava, Michael Riessler, Kenny Wheeler, Ray Anderson, Sylvie Courvoisier, Klaus K\u00f6nig, Simon Nabatov, Wolfgang Puschnig, Linda Sharrock, Misha Mengelberg, Maria Pia De Vito, Willem Breuker, Herbert Joos, Dave Bargeron, Steve Swallow, Roberto Martinelli.<\/p>\n
