The project, led by Cie Omar Rajeh & Maqamat (France<\/strong>) with the partners Fabbrica Europa and Albania Dance Meeting (Albania<\/strong>), aims to transform the way dance is experienced and presented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n SHIFT<\/strong> seeks to explore new formats of artistic expression, community engagement, and audience interaction, involving artists, experts, and citizens from multiple EU and Mediterranean countries. The project kicked off in 2024 in Florence<\/strong> with the first On-site Explorations<\/a><\/strong> (13-16 October), continued in Tirana<\/strong> (17-19 January 2025) with The Big Dance Lab<\/a><\/strong>, and in Lebanon<\/strong> with Telescope Beirut<\/a><\/strong> (4-10 April 2025).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Also in 2025 (September-October), SHIFT<\/strong> has a new phase in Florence<\/a><\/strong>, as part of the Fabbrica Europa Festival, with further developments in research and work on unconventional spaces. SHIFT<\/strong> aims to uncover the essential conditions for transitioning from the \u2018visual\u2019 to the \u2018active\u2019, illuminating the requirements for engaged creations, innovative relationships, and unconventional audience experiences<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project continue in Albania with Telescope Kor\u00e7a<\/a><\/strong> (4-8 March 2026), and will culminate with the final event Dance People \u2013 Le Happening<\/strong> in Lyon<\/strong>, from 19 to 21 June 2026, during which citizens will immerse themselves in an interactive journey of artistic creativity and community participation.
For this final phase of the project, a Call<\/a><\/strong> was launched, open to artists, choreographers, dancers, researchers, architects, poets, circus artists, social thinkers, and other creatives from across Europe and the Mediterranean, whose work engages with space, community, and shared action.
