Man lives between the infinitely large and the infinitely small.
(Blaise Pascal)
For three days and three nights Orlando wanders in the forest, chasing something he didn’t even know he was looking for: the more he discovers, the more he gets lost. In the bewilderment, it is the history that takes shape, with the surprise of being catapulted into a new space, made up of landscapes that appear and disappear instantly, of comic and dramatic substrates. Dipped into a narrative dimension, the characterization of Il Pupo‘s movement (typical Sicilian puppets) merges, in the choreographic texture, with the search for the character of Orlando, the protagonist of Ariosto’s play.
Working on the suspensions and on the idea of being moved from the outside, the scene inhabited by the madness of Il Pupo Orlando, it moves between tension and lightness, to trace the possible dancer movement variations starting from the posture of Il Pupo.
