Under the influence is attempting a restoration after a collapse.
It’s rebuilding a moment of splendour, the distant acme symbolising an awakening for these characters that sleep and battle with their intrinsic void.
The surrounding space is but a projection of an inner landscape, and the ordinary rhythm of the action is the expression of what is invisible and unknown.
The subjects on stage are not free, they have not chosen their birthplace nor their name, and their state of being has been marked since the start.
What is missing? How to find a space of freedom?
These questions arise from the hunger to manifest an interiority that crushed everything as it could not find its agent.
Such hunger is mine too and I exorcise it here, trying to capture a mystery and let it be revelation for me and my characters, hoping that we will recover ourselves.
