as part of Körper meets Fabbrica Europa

Roberta Racis composes a homage to the maternal that is also a study on the white act of romantic ballet.
The colour white evokes conceptual refractions that the choreographer has drawn on for this work in which dance, voice and song structure the action.
The white act is generally the second act of performances whose libretto narrates events that straddle the world of the living and an otherworldly dimension. These are acts in which, after the death of a character, usually female, the afterlife manifests itself.
A forerunner of an objectification of bodies, the white act today prepares itself for an investigation such as that of Roberta Racis, who reflects on the feminine by deflating personal insight into fragility and mourning into a broader range of possibilities.

Roberta Racis is a choreographer and dancer. In her choreographic work she explores the possibilities of interaction between movement, voice and rhythm. She has danced for the Companhia Portuguesa de Bailado Contemporaneo and for the Italian company Balletto di Roma.
From 2018 to today she has developed the her own choreographic research as a guest artist of numerous European and international projects (Performing Gender, D & D Dance and Dramaturgy, CRISOL – creative processes). Currently as a performer she collaborates with Alessandro Sciarroni, Enzo Cosimi, Francesco Marilungo. Since 2024 she has been a Dance Well teacher – movement research for Parkinson.
