Ana Lua Caiano is a Portuguese singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist born in Lisbon in 1999. Blending traditional Portuguese music with electronic sounds, hip-hop, and contemporary songwriting, she performs as a one-woman band, using a loop station, synthesizers, and percussion.
She studied classical music for eight years and later jazz at the prestigious Hot Clube de Portugal, while further developing her skills in music production and composition at ETIC. She also pursued studies in visual arts at the University of Fine Arts of Lisbon.
In addition to writing and performing her music, she personally produces her songs and music videos. She has also composed soundtracks for short films and documentaries.
In 2024, she released her critically acclaimed debut album, “Vou Ficar Neste Quadrado”, which blends folk melodies, urban beats, and lyrics addressing social issues and protest.
In 2026, she released the single “Uma Vida A Menos”, in which she continued to further develop a musical language shaped by restlessness and by the transformation of unease into creative material, and announced her second album, which is scheduled for release in November.
This new live performance, featuring drum machines, field recordings, and reinterpretations of folk traditions, becomes a space of tension and discovery, where music opens up to urgent social issues through an approach that is both progressive and unconventional.
