CENTIMEMORY

September 17, 2026 - September 19, 2026 19:00

PARC Performing Arts Research Centre Firenze | IT

as part of the Fabbrica Europa 2026 festival

Like a fading rose, a woman wanders through fragments of her past, questioning whether her memories are faithful traces of lived experience or images transformed by time and imagination.

Blurring the boundaries between memory and fantasy, CentiMemory explores remembrance and reflects on ageing as a woman, the transformation of beauty, and the shifting relationship we have with our bodies and identities through time.

The recurring image of the rose extends into the scenography through red shoes – objects that embody different stages of womanhood and act as vessels of memory. Gathered together, they form shifting landscapes and constructions, suggesting that identity, like memory itself, is composed of fragments constantly being rearranged.

Like a rose that inevitably fades, she wonders what truly remains of a life once lived: the delicate fictions that help us endure loss and transformation.

Marine Fernandez is a French choreographer, performer, movement educator, and yoga teacher based in Lithuania. Her artistic work combines visual poetry, physicality, and theatricality to explore themes of memory, womanhood, ageing, trauma, resilience, and identity.
A graduate of the National Ballet School of Marseille, she began her career in France and Germany before joining Aura Dance Theatre in Lithuania, performing internationally across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. In 2023, she was nominated for Best Dancer of the Year at Lithuania’s Golden Cross of the Stage.
Her award-winning solo Centifolia marked a turning point in her artistic journey and is currently evolving into CentiMemory, a fulllength creation supported by the EFFEA.
