Le Murate Progetti Arte Contemporanea | IT
within the International showcase of young choreographers
The project starts from the desire to widen a real time: the moment of falling asleep.
I am interested in having a dual observation both from the physical muscular and the cerebral point of view at the same time.
I pause on the way body activities of voluntary muscular system get more and more reduced in this “border land” while the way of thinking is transformed.
The way the body falls and gives itself to sleeping is the “halfway land” between reality and dream, conscience and unconscious, voluntary act and reliance, action and passivity, control and loss of control, a place where the flow of thinking becomes more and more illogical and irrational.
It’s a place and a time where cognitive acts and definite thoughts still coexist together with slow drifts, like bubbles towards the void, slides from reality, beginnings of falls. These suspended falls alternate with recurrence of control and finally waking and sleeping, conscience and abandon interact, exchange and combine.
Then in a moment no longer conscious, the falling into real sleeping and
then dreaming.
