La terra non può fare a meno del cielo (The earth cannot live without the sky) is a work that seeks to explore and transform into movement the deep human desire to rise, to be enveloped by a higher love.

The dancers’ movements create a dialogue between earthly matter and the longing for infinity, the concrete and the transcendent. A choreography that expresses this tension and search, highlighting the yearning for spirituality that lies within each of us.

Rising again in moments of anguish, trusting in divine help despite everything; rejoicing like a child, feeling wonder and gratitude for the small things, recognizing the supernatural in everyday events – these are some of the themes this new creation will explore.

Julie Ann Anzilotti, founder of Compagnia Xe, blends personal dance and theatre in a unique choreographic language. She leads the inclusive project Personae, teaches at Civica Scuola di Teatro Paolo Grassi in Milan, and has been honored for her commitment to artistic innovation and diversity.
