Damiano Ottavio Bigi and Alessandra Paoletti on tour in India where they perform That’s All Folks! at the Bangalore International Centre as part of the BLR Hubba festival.

That’s All Folks! starts off as an ideal continuation of Un Discreto Protagonista, in a path in which Damiano Ottavio Bigi and Alessandra Paoletti continue to combine dance, science and myth.

A quartet of dancers suspended in an indefinite space, a fleeting place, that is the point of no return of a journey towards a non-place and a non-time, explore a purely physical narrative by investigating some ritual forms that operate based on archetypical figures and paths.

“For this research we drew inspiration from the concept of event horizon, that horizon beyond which nothing can be seen and everything falls apart in an infinitely dense expanse. An imaginary, circular boundary, where our characters are called upon to experiment with a liminal dimension and come into contact with their unconscious memory. A journey that gave us the chance to ask ourselves questions on the nature of time, movement and instability, in a time and place in which there is no longer a central axis or perspective, where everything changes depending on where we look”.

Damiano Ottavio Bigi, dancer and choreographer, from the Opera di Roma to D. Papaioannou, joined various companies until he became a member in 2005 of the Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch, where he still works as a guest artist. In 2010 he participated in the film Pina by Wim Wenders. He won the Capri Danza International Award in 2016, as well as the Sfera d’Oro per la Danza Award in 2020.
Alessandra Paoletti, actress and director, after earning her diploma at the Accademia Nazionale d’Arte Drammatica Silvio D’Amico, has worked both as a performer and as a director. Some of her most important encounters have been with Knapp, Stanzak, Ostmeier, Fura dels Baus, Sinisterra, Garcia, De Bei, with whom she has worked together directing Le mattine dieci alle quattro, winning the 2010 Golden Graal Award (best director). She collaborated for a number of years with the Istanbul Municipal Theater.
FRITZ Company is the artistic project that brings together Damiano Ottavio Bigi and Alessandra Paoletti. Their work started as a dialogue with different languages, an exploration of dance, theatre and visual arts.
