Conceived and directed by Francesca Foscarini and Cosimo Lopalco, “Museo dell’Altrove” is a contemporary dance, performance and installation art project that develops in several environments and works on the themes of the contemporary museum and the relationship between architectural space and the body.

Caruso – Museo dell’Altrove, which takes shape in the beautiful Villa Bellosguardo and its gardens in Lastra a Signa, formerly home of the Italian tenor and currently seat of the Enrico Caruso Museum, wants to explore the extraordinary novelty of his singing, the commercial power of his very first recordings, his multifaceted and tormented personality, the great cultural and symbolic legacy that has influenced and still influences the identity of the Bel Paese, and to build a museum, intertwined on this occasion with the existing one, where dance, performance, installation meet the more traditional museum languages of architecture, drawing, sculpture, photography and artifact.
