Music event with the students of the Singing Course
Teacher William Matteuzzi
The thematic section of the Chigiana International Festival and Summer Academy called “Chigiana Factor” involves the students of the improvers courses of the Accademia, young people from all over the world.
The public events of this section are a real support for the launch of the career of many young artists.
A goal shared by the Orizzonti Verticali Festival, which hosts the first public performance of the Summer Academy 2017 students.
William Matteuzzi, a tenor born in Bologna, began his studies with M° P. Venturi.
After some years he met his ideal teacher, M° Rodolfo Celletti, who suggested him the correct repertoire for his voice, showing him the way to become the first modern contraltino tenor.
The unusual extention of his voice gave him the opportunity to sing many of the most difficult roles of the belcanto range and expecially the Rossini repertoire.
In his career he has performed more than 100 roles in opera, operetta and oratorio in Europe, North and South America, Asia.
