We are lumps of atoms that are momentarily organized to be here but that will then return to do what they have always done, to be an integral part, albeit infinitesimal, of the Universe.
Maybe there’s someone out there you like more than anyone else. Perhaps a proton of your skin stood next to a proton of its skin when the universe was as small as a grape.
Maybe those two protons were separated for 13.8 billion years to meet the time you hugged.
Filippo Bonaventura, astrophysicist and scientific popularizer
From the encounter with the Perpendicolare project, L’universo nella testa comes to life, a new creation that further develops the relationship between different performative languages by working on the movements of the choreographer and dancer Daniele Ninarello and the songs of the singer and songwriter Cristina Donà along with the composer and visual artist Saverio Lanza.
The sense of gravity of the dance acts as a motor, drawing in the stage space, through the movements, rotations of the body that create an amalgam of rhythmic cells towards a perpetual swaying of the creative flow.
Cristina Donà’s most fascinating songs – from “Universo” and “Il senso delle cose” to “Triathlon” and “Settembre”, together with evocative pieces such as “Across The Universe” by The Beatles – give the whole the flavour of an original constellation in which to get lost, observe and find yourself in a continuous relationship between the infinity of the cosmos and the human being.
