The aesthetic and the political establish themselves mutually in the space inhabited by Lemmy B., stimulating transformative practices through which the subject opens to an undetermined becoming, training scores of awareness.
In a bare scene, where the sound dramaturgy is a constant gaze that leaves no escape, the body is the only device capable of reconfiguring power grammars and subvert canons.
Nunzia Picciallo is a multidisciplinary artist born in Italy. Her creations span dance, performance and visual arts. The investigation that characterizes her work is seen as a mutable and continuous exploration of the foundational dynamics between the body and the system/space. Consequently, the performative act becomes the possibility to open up diffuse dialogues and invites a presence beyond the surface and image. Her creations are presented internationally, and she received various awards and recognitions: Third Prize Performance at the 27th International Solo Tanz-Theater Festival in Stuttgart, SAI Festival Award, Masdanza Award, Incentive Award for Choreographic Writing at Cortoindanza 2023; selected artist for the Stray Birds Dance Platform 2023 and for the Showcase of Young Author Dance in 2022; winner of the Circle Contemporary Dance Contest 2021. Alongside her performative practice she gives movement workshops and Gaga movement language classes, bringing together dance professionals and people from diverse backgrounds.
