33rd EDITION
12 SEPTEMBER – 10 OCTOBER 2026
Florence
A festival as a collective act. Not a mere sequence of events, but a shared, poetic, and choral gesture that takes shape through active, living listening to the world. A space of the contemporary where bodies, voices, and ideas question the present and move through it with new inquiries and creative impulses.
A festival that chooses to go beyond the habitus of the West, beyond its consolidated narratives and symbolic boundaries, to cyclically return to a deeper essence: that of a Mediterranean not as a closed geographical space, but as a mobile horizon of exchange, of construction of meaning and knowledge – crossed by cultures, languages, myths, and conflicts – which even today continues to generate questions and possibilities.
With these premises, and along a path that moves backwards while never turning the gaze away from the present, Fabbrica Europa addresses and reflects on the very concept of Europe from a multidisciplinary, performative, and evocative perspective, capable of holding together different languages and non-linear layers of temporality.
Toward a reappropriation of the concept of action as choice, responsibility, independence, and liberation from prejudice. An action that does not fear doubt and accepts risk as a necessary condition for generating meaning.
Starting again from the layers of antiquity and evoking founding myths as well as the analyses of contemporary thinkers, intellectuals, and artists, the festival offers back a complex and plural panorama of the present. A space in which polychrome and polymorphic creatures coexist, where signs and languages, real and imaginary territories intertwine, giving shape to new interpretations of the present and opening perspectives for the future.
