Fine

Fine is an investigation into the relationship with the biological, spiritual, artistic and symbolic mother. In the Andean religion, Pachamama, which in the Quechua language means Cosmic Mother, Celestial Mother, Mother Nature, is a form of gratitude that man makes to nature, it is the union between man and nature.

With Fine we suspend our gaze on an encounter, both with the human and with the world of nature. In this middle area, memories emerge without a temporal order, a metaphysical journey that lets in and makes possible and visible what already was, what already existed. End is A quantum leap that lives everywhere and nowhere. It is a final rite to thank what has been and which in its conclusion is preparing to be born in another form.
Fine thus becomes a rite of Pachamama, a form of recognition and gratitude that the author addresses to her artistic mothers, Milena Costanzo and Raffaella Giordano, women who with their words, their bodies full of knowledge, experiences and memories they acted as a guide on his artistic journey.
Today, their bodies are like Sacred Temples of a theater that has left a mark and which makes them essential witnesses of the final chapter of Olimpia Fortuni‘s trilogy where the author becomes the link between past and future, between mother and daughter, between memories and visions, where the body is the guardian of tools for knowing the other and the beyond.

Fine is the trace of an invisible line on which, at a certain point of the journey, the gaze rested for this creation, awakening the question of me as a child: “how do you create a show as beautiful as Nature?”
And my wanderings in places where nature is majestic and monstrous, between Namibia, Ecuador, Iceland and also the encounter with various shamanic practices, have trained my gaze in search of that secret. A dear theme, which retraces my artistic trajectory, persevering in this research on the observation of the relationship between man and Nature, a Mother nature that includes everything, an entity that embraces all living beings and makes them part of a single immense cosmic gear, of a universal plan that includes everything that has been created.
