L(‘)oro are all the women that I am not.
L(‘)oro are all the women that I am.
L(‘)oro, it is you, it is him, it is you.
L(‘)oro is where I find it.
L(‘)oro is where I find myself.

Using the metaphor of the gold rush which took place towards the end of the 19th century and involved many Italians, Io e l(‘)oro asks the question “where is your gold?”

On stage a constant mutation occurs. It is an invitation to travel in time and space, in an endless search for form and meaning. Does changing context modify identity? Does it inform on it? What pushes some to leave and others to stay?

During this journey, only one thing remains permanent: the body, place we cannot escape from, where we were born and will die. As for the rest we are all free to go, get dressed and undressed and look for our gold. Where shall it be? The search unveils in front of the audience. Or is the answer actually lying in their gaze?

Bestrice Bresolin

Beatrice Bresolin is an Italian dancer, choreographer and teacher based in Berlin and Italy. She dances for projects in dialogue with musicians, video makers, photographers and painters and in 2017 was one of the founders of the Dance Makers collective, born after the Professional Development Project Dance Makers1 organised by CSC-Centro per la Scena Contemporanea, Bassano del Grappa (IT), with whom she creates site specific performances and choreographic itineraries in museums, urban centers and natural spaces. In 2016 she started creating her own work: FlashBack, together with Claire Meguerditchian, selected for Solo/Duo Tanz Festival (Cologne, DE) and Lago Film Fest (IT) and the solo The Gold Rush, which evolves in the project Io e l(‘)oro, finalist at DNAppunti coreografici 2017 in Rome.
In parallel, she teaches Vaganova ballet for years. Currently she is involved in Arabesque d’emergenza, choreographed by Andrea Costanzo Martini, and in the new production by the choreographer Satoshi Kudo.

platform A35 develops in the new space of Fabbrica Europa, PARC ex Scuderie Granducali in Florence, an unconventional place.
The project is based on the idea of presenting young choreographers, Italian and not only, whose research shows new creative processes, but also the changing society that is necessarily reflected in them.
