May 7, 2010 - May 8, 2010 15:00
Auditorium Sant'Apollonia Firenze | IT
within the project Focus on Art and Science in the Performing Arts
with the support of Culture Programme of the European Union
Fabbrica Europa is organising on 7th and 8th May a round table for artists, researchers, critics and cultural operators, both national and European. The idea arises from the wish to bring about an informal meeting among artists and young operators on the concept of new languages and the issues involved in new productions, not least the need to find and analyse the responsibility facing an emerging artist and what range of action appears available to him in contemporary society. The title chosen, therefore, is Brand new languages!
For once we will try to start from the needs of the protagonists while avoiding the trap of over-personalised requirements, moving our gaze towards comparisons, routine procedures and the creative code, yet at the same time focusing on the world around us, its cultural definitions and its social transformations. Hence the proposal of a “Think Tank”, an open dialectic “platform” with no “authoritarian or judgemental” management, where those contradictions, so often avoided by the “cultural system” in our country, can emerge in all their clarity.
Programme:
Friday 7h May h 15.00 – 18.00
