A new event of the DEI SUONI I PASSI 2023 project with Monica Demuru and Cristiano Calcagnile.

Monica Demuru is an actress, singer and author who has developed a research path on vocality. She has worked in theatre with Societas Raffaello Sanzio, Massimiliano Civica, Deflorian-Tagliarini, Joris Lacoste-Encyclopedie de la Parole, Muta Imago, Letizia Renzini, Massimo Luconi, David Riondino, Annalisa Bianco, Santasangre, Roberto Latini and Claudio Morganti. As an author and interpreter she sings and performs in duo with Cristiano Calcagnile in “Blastula.scarnoduo” and with Natalio Mangalavite in “Madera Balza”.
In the last 15 years with these two groups she has been on stage for many concerts in Italy and abroad. She releases for Tûk, Amirani records and Ambria Jazz labels. She is nominated for Best Actress/Performer at the 2022 Ubu Award.

Drummer, percussionist and composer, Cristiano Calcagnile has built a international reputation collaborating with great names of new jazz, contemporary music and pop music as well. He extensively tours all over the world invited by international festivals and venues.
He’s now leading the MULTIKULTI ensemble which have produced a couple of CD for Caligola records. In 2019 realized his first solo album, “STOMA”. Since 2017 he has been in Rob Mazurek’s quintet “Immortal birds bright wings” with Fabrizio Puglisi, Pasquale Mirra and Danilo Gallo. He collaborates with We Insist! Records with which he has recently released the album “Inversi” with Anokhi trio. Since 2007 he has been sharing the “BLASTULA.scarnoduo” project with Monica Demuru.


DEI SUONI I PASSI, a project that was born in 2018 from an idea of Fondazione Fabbrica Europa and Associazione Musica e Nuvole, is focused on the relationship between music and the environment and aims to tell, discover and connect the territories from Florence up to the Tuscan Apennines, passing through the Via degli Dei.
The 2023 edition is organized with the support of Regione Toscana, Città Metropolitana di Firenze and Unione dei Comuni del Mugello.
The concert is in collaboration with Pro Loco Scarperia.
