Two bodies, two figures, two features, two lines meet at the tip, perfectly adhering to each other. They find themselves there, searching for their balance, side by side, back to back, chest to chest, in the need to support and sustain each other: they are in search of stability and belonging.

The work by Flavia Dule and Beatrice Guastalla investigates the quality of human encounters, between closeness and resistance, highlighting fragility and transformation. Identities intertwine without deleting each other, revealing the value of reciprocity and reflecting on the contemporary tension between connection and individualism.

Drawing inspiration from Japanese culture, Hito 人 explores the delicate balance between the need for support and the search for one’s own path, but the essence of being human lies precisely here. Without others, we would fall; without us, others fall. It’s about moving together, calibrating the movement, giving space, creating it, and being ready to receive it: a game of trust and dynamism, the universal that, through support, becomes identity.

Flavia Dule began her studies with Rosita Morelli. She continued her professional training in classical and contemporary dance at the M.A.S. in Milan. She graduated from Opus Ballet in Florence, joined the company, and took part in Loris Petrillo’s production Swan Lake. She was awarded a scholarship to the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen. She studied at the Peridance Dance Centre in New York and at the Balletto di Toscana. She danced with Mystic Ballet and Barbarossa Danza, led by Alessio Barbarossa and Valentino Porcu. She furthered her training with the Jasmin Vardimon Company in England. Working freelance between England and Slovakia, she is currently on tour with the Balletto di Sardegna.

Beatrice Guastalla is a contemporary dancer, performer, and teacher engaged in an ongoing research on the body and movement. She trained in both ballet and contemporary dance at Ateneo della Danza in Siena and Artichoke in Milan, deepening practices such as release technique, floorwork, and contact improvisation, alongside somatic approaches. She holds a degree in DAMS from the University of Bologna. Since 2018, she has collaborated with Fattoria Indaco, performing in several productions, and works as a freelance dancer in various artistic projects. She is also a contemporary dance and Pilates teacher and regularly attends workshops and intensive programs with international choreographers.
