During Agnese Banti‘s residency, hosted by Fabbrica Europa as part of the activities of the Fondo creatività emergente (Emerging creativity support Fund), a Masterclass was conducted by the artist Yan Duyvendak which was also attended by Emilia Verginelli.

The Dutch director and performer followed the work of the two artists selected for the first edition of the Fondo, discussing with them the development of their respective projects.

Yan Duyvendak, born in the Netherlands, lives between Geneva and Marseille. His performing arts career began in 1995 with Keep It Fun For Yourself. In this solo, which he still performs, he ironically questions the role of the artist. Since then he has created numerous works in which he uses different languages and formats, from performance to installation, from photography to video.

The Fondo di supporto creatività emergente (Emerging creativity support Fund) is a project shared by Santarcangelo dei Teatri, AMAT Associazione Marchigiana per le Attività Teatrali, Centrale Fies, ERT – Emilia Romagna Teatro Fondazione, Fondazione Fabbrica Europa, Fondazione I Teatri di Reggio Emilia, L’arboreto – Teatro Dimora, OperaEstate Festival Veneto, RavennaTeatro, Teatro Pubblico Campano, Teatro Pubblico Pugliese, Teatro Stabile dell’Umbria, Fondazione CRT/Teatro dell’Arte. The network intends to contribute to the productive development and growth of emerging artists active in the Italian territory, offering residence spaces, financial support, production support, circulation and promotion of works in creation.
