Inspired by the quatrains of Persian poet and Sufi mystic Djalâl ad-Dîn Rûmî, Ha!, the latest creation by Bouchra Ouizguen, is an exploration of madness.
Using the same working method which led to the success of Madame Plaza, co-produced and presented at Fabbrica Europa in 2009, Bouchra Ouizguen returned to travel around Morocco in order to enrich her work on movement, singing and language, by learning from the people she encountered.
In search of others, those who scare or repulse us, those who are strangers to all and even to themselves; of those whose silence alarms or occasionally leads us to awakening.

Bouchra Ouizguen, born in Morocco in 1989, studied in France and between 1995 and 2000, in Morocco, she became a soloist of oriental dance. She trained mainly with Bernardo Montet, Mathilde Monnier and Boris Charmatz who have been decisive for her artistic development.
In 2002 she founded the company Anania together with Taoufiq Izeddiou and Saïd Aït El Moumen. In the same year, within the project Prière de regarder directed by Mathilde Monnier, she created the solo Ana Ounta and three years later Mort et moi, presented, among others, at the Festival Montpellier Danse. In 2006 she choreographed with Taoufiq Izeddiou the duo Déserts, désirs which wss followed by another duo with an Aïta cabaret singer. Madame Plaza of 2009 is her first group work.
She has been also co-organizer of the Rencontres Chorégraphiques de Marrakech. Ha!, which premiered at festival Montpellier Danse 2012, is a creation of her new group Compagnie O.
