The creation process of If there is no Sun, a work by the choreographer Irene Russolillo, the video artist Luca Brinchi and the musician Karima 2G together with the dancers Antoine Danfa and Mapate Sakho (Senegal) and Ilyes Triki (Tunisia), continues with a new residency at PARC as part of the CRISOL – creative processes project.
Fractures open up in languages when speaking about Africa and Europe, about bodies-territories and borders that oppress. We try to share dreams and desires. And a sense of strangeness. We would like to see our rights recognized and free ourselves from our ghosts. On land and sea, among other creatures, a new community emerges from its state of invisibility. And it embarks on a struggle that is a discourse and a journey, in which the environment changes due to corrosion and blurring.
Go to the place between our dreams, where all the light is yours. Let your voice be food. May your thougths be muscular. Let us wade in our water.
