Women stretching in the dim light, lying in beds or on old sofas, in the moment between day and sleep.
They are Aïta, idolized almost a century ago, today occasionally despised as artists of the people, often not understood.
They are named Aïcha, Naïma, Fatima or Hliouti. They have chosen art, some of them more than 25 years ago. With love songs, Fado and Moroccan blues their voices have accompanied bacchanals and weddings.
