INFO

The dancer and choreographer Sara Sicuro will be in residency at PARC with her project Il suono del corpo (The sound of the body) with the violist Cristina Petitti.

The sound of the body. A body that plays. Mutual intermittences that open to new resonances, transmissions of melodic fragments, physical, bodily counterpoints between viola-instrument, body-instrument, sound, voice and movement.
Exploring a polyphony made up of returns and memories that accumulate in a tension of the face, in a consequent change of postures towards new harmonic resolutions or possible dissolutions.
How does the individual respond when he comes into contact with this polyphony?
What of your life becomes part of this dialogue between body and sound?

Sara Sicuro graduated in Modern Philology at the University in Florence and at the same time undertook a high artistic education, graduating from the Scuola del Balletto di Toscana and the Opus Ballet in Florence. In the same city she studied acting for three years at the theate school L’imbarco directed by Nicola Zavagli and Beatrice Visibelli.
Since 2010 she has worked with the company Emox Balletto Contemporaneo, directed by Beatrice Paoleschi, with which she has danced in productions such as Maria Stuarda and Achille e Pentesilea, presented at Teatro della Pergola and Teatro Cantiere Florida in Florence, the Roman Theatre in Fiesole, the Puccini theatre in Torre del Lago, Theatro Manzoni in Milan.
She has participated in performative projects in France and has approached the study of improvisation techniques with Julyen Hamilton, Alessandro Certini and Charlotte Zerbey. She currently works as a dancer and choreographer for independent projects and teaches contemporary technique in various schools.
