Suoni in uno Spazio Abbandonato III (Sounds in an Abandoned Space III) by the young composer Timoteo Carbone is the final phase of the Suoni in uno Spazio Abbandonato series.

The project, that started in 2017 in Rotterdam, focuses on the compositional use of non-finished structures and has grown thanks to the collaboration with artists from various disciplines. In this third phase the dancers and choreographers Emma Zani and Roberto Doveri (YOY Performing Arts) and the visual artist Federico Zurani are involved.

At the heart of the project, the idea of building an imaginary abandoned space; a habitat with a stratification of dimensions that becomes a concrete model for creating interactions between sound, dance and painting, and developing forms and relationships within a common composition/architecture.

The scene is defined by Federico Zurani’s installation, a large oil canvas that cuts the space and adds an imaginary dimension. The work, together with the music composition and the choreography, leaves the traces of an unfinished architecture that goes from the concrete to the abstract.
