FIRENZE | 15th EDITION

For the 15th edition, the Festival au Désert Firenze has invited some of the most interesting musicians and groups on the international scene, great masters and young but established artists.

Festival au Désert Firenze has always stood out for an ethical vision centered on the encounter between cultures, for a particular attention to the message of peace and respect between people and towards ethnic minorities and for a profound interest in the stylistic sensitivity of the artists involved.

From this point of view, the focus is first of all on the nomadic traditions of the Tuareg, to their relationship with the environment, with the desert as a place but also as a conception of life and spirituality.
All this is present in the music and the encounter that the festival fosters, encouraging knowledge also through initiatives dedicated to the geopolitical situation of the Sahel and beyond.

Two concerts at PARC in Florence, in collaboration with Toscana Produzione Musica – the female Tuareg group TARTIT on May 23 at 7pm and the group from Niger ETRAN DE L’AIR on June 2 at 7pm – precede the start of the next edition scheduled from July 21 to 25.
