The 9th edition of the NID Platform, the new platform for Italian dance, is scheduled to take place in Civitanova Marche from October 1 to 4, 2025.

The chosen title – Dance, singular plural – aims to highlight the variety of ways in which dance can be expressed today, between poetic singularities and a plurality of signs and meanings.

This new edition, carried out with the support of the Direzione Generale Spettacolo (General Directorate for Performing Arts) of the Ministry of Culture (MiC), the Marche Region, the Municipality of Civitanova Marche, and the Azienda Teatri di Civitanova, is led and organized by AMAT – Associazione Marchigiana Attività Teatrali.

The platform will be divided into two sections: Programming and Open Studios.

The Programming section is dedicated to performances and/or non-traditional projects (such as shows designed for non-theatrical spaces, with unconventional durations or structures, that involve active audience participation, interaction with technological and/or sensory devices, installations, etc.) which premiered between February 18, 2022 and April 18, 2025, or which had a pre-premiere and are scheduled to premiere by September 15, 2025.

The Open Studios section is aimed at choreographic projects in development, seeking co-productions and/or residencies, which are not scheduled to premiere within 3 months of the end of the ninth edition of NID Platform, and which include a choreographic/performative presentation of no more than 15 minutes.

NID Platform is a project born from a shared vision among dance distribution organizations that are members of ADEP (Associazione Danza Esercizio e Promozione) FEDERVIVO-AGIS and brought together in an R.T.O. (Temporary Grouping of Operators), in collaboration with the Direzione Generale Spettacolo of the MiC and the Regions involved.
