Taking inspiration from the cast of “The lovers” (Gli amanti) discovered in Pompei, the creation by Adriano Bolognino wants to bring to light a love suddenly interrupted by the overbearing force of nature, but kept forever.
Eternal it’s the hug in which the two lovers are found and at the same time locked up.
The cast has remained hidden from the public for years waiting to resolve any doubts about the identity of the two.
It was assumed they were a man and a woman, a mother and a son, two young men.
What is certain it’s that love has kept them together for over 2000 years, overcoming death. Let leave to the imagination of the audience the dream of a absolute love.

Adriano Bolognino, born in 1995, started studying dance in his hometown Naples. Later he began his career as a dancer in some young companies such as Milano Contemporary Ballet, Studio XL and Valencia Dancing Forward, performing creations by Marcos Morau, Wayne McGregor, Damian Munoz and Jorge Crecis, whom he was also assistant at the University of the Arts of Malta in 2018.
Afterwards he has decided to fully dedicate himself to choreography. With his first creation Yellow, he won the contest NEWDANCEGENERATION in Caserta, Italy.
In 2019 he created Your body is a battleground (trio version) for the EgriBianco company  and Preludio dell’anima for the Verona OCDP training project. He presented his creations within festivals and international platforms like the Cross Festival Verbania 2019, Peccati di Chore Roma, What we are Udine, Inventaria Festival, Corpo Mobile Festival, LDIF Leicester, Opus 1 Slovenia, Monday Dance Napoli and Estate Fiorentina 2019.
In 2019 he was selected for Venice Biennale College Choreographers 2019 during which he created La più viva delle città morte.
He was also selected for Anghiari Dance Hub 2019 with the creation Gli Amanti. With RM94978 from Paris to Tenerife, work selected for the Showcase of the young dance of author Anticorpi XL 2019 and for Ammutinamenti Festival, he was a finalist of the Twain_direzioni altre Award 2018 and won in 2019 the Prospettiva Danza Award, Padova. In 2020 the Venice Biennale commissioned him a new work for the festival to be held in October 2020.

SECRET FLORENCE 2020_Cascine Edition is a special edition that includes a path of open air artistic performances, curated by Fabbrica Europa, Musicus Concentus, Tempo Reale, Centro nazionale di produzione per la danza Virgilio Sieni, and the creation of a video documentary produced by Lo Schermo dell’Arte in collaboration with Istituto Marangoni, Florence.
These Florentine organizations have chosen a symbolic place of sociability, the Cascine Park, to populate it with contemporary dance and music.
