In a radical and immersive acoustic set, George Xylouris reconnects the roots of Cretan tradition with the present.
Through the sound of his laouto and his deep, ancestral voice, Xylouris becomes the medium for a history that stretches back thousands of years.

Defying the conventions of the classical concert format, the performance foregrounds emotion and improvisation, embodying the idea of “losing oneself in order to be reborn”, making each appearance a self-contained microcosm in a constant state of becoming.

A member of the iconic Cretan musical dynasty of the Xylouris family, George inherited from his father, Psarantonis, a free-spirited and visceral approach to music.
Since 2013, he has collaborated with drummer Jim White in the avant-rock project Xylouris White. Now, with his solo project “Homa”, he continues to reinvent Mediterranean music.
