with Silvia La RoccaKavinya Monthe NdumbuNadia EmamZiad Trabelsi

ALMAR’À is the first orchestra of Arab and Mediterranean women and was created in 2017 between Florence and Rome thanks to the collaboration between Fondazione Fabbrica Europa and the Tunisian socio-cultural Center “Dar Tounsi”, and with the artistic coordination of Ziad Trabelsi.
“Almar’à”, a word that in Arabic means “woman”, brings together women and girls from different backgrounds – professional and non-professional musicians, students, rappers, classical musicians, modern singers – in a polyphony that wants to be a symbol of freedom against any violence, against any extremism and closure. In 2019 “Rim Almar’à” was released, the first single of the Orchestra (arrangement signed by Ziad Trabelsi, Mario Tronco, Pino Pecorelli, Leandro Piccioni), accompanied by a videoclip by Francesco Cabras.
concept: Ziad Trabelsi and Maurizio Busìa

Carthage Mosaik is a music group launched by Ziad Trabelsi, musician, singer and composer born in Tunis who has lived in Rome since 2002. The contact developed in Italy with other musicians from the most varied origins – from rock, blues and popular music – led him to seek and create opportunities for dialogue while maintaining a deep bond with his origins. The Arab traces present everywhere in the popular music of the Mediterranean are highlighted, underlining the ability that music has to mix, spread and transform.

Musiconnect Italy, beneficiary of the Scena Unita fund, is organized by Italian World Beat and Associazione Culturale Brodo under the patronage of the Municipality of Pistoia and Nuovo Imaie and is produced in partnership with La Fortezza 59, where most of the programme takes place
